Mental Health Services Expand

Earlier this month, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted to expand support for Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) for children, youth, families (CYF), and adults and older adults (AOA) crisis programs.

The addition of approximately $560,000 in state grant funds will go towards additional staffing for Pacific Clinics (the contractor that runs the program for the County), the development of intervention strategies and training for community partners and families, and a unified information system designed to provide real-time tracking for crisis teams and families.

The further funding will allow Pacific Clinics, the current provider for mobile crisis services for youth up to 21 years of age, to add four full-time employees, as well as response equipment needed to do their work such as cell phones, laptops, and personal safety equipment kits.
