Simitian to Discuss Political Divide, Building Bridges in "Listening to Trump's America"

MEDIA ADVISORY

SAN JOSE – Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian announced today that he will be speaking at Palo Alto City Hall on Saturday, September 16th. Simitian will discuss the political divide between the Bay Area and other places in the United States in the wake of last year’s election.

The event is hosted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of Palo Alto, and cohosted by the League of Women Voters of Palo Alto. The event is free and open to the public.

Earlier this year, Simitian travelled to counties in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan that had historically voted Democratic, but supported President Trump in the 2016 election.
