Black Road had only one posted speed limit of 30 mph near Thompson Road where Lakeside Elementary School is located. In response to concerns raised by Los Gatos residents, the County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution to extend the 30-mph speed limit from Thompson Road to the Highway 17 Frontage Road. In support of this action, Supervisor Simitian, who represents the area, commended both the community and County staff for their efforts in improving public safety for both those on the road and in their neighborhoods.
