County to Waive Penalties on Property Tax Payments
The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Tuesday (5-0) on Supervisor Joe Simitian’s proposal for the County to waive the 10% penalty on property tax payments that were due Friday, April 10, but that were paid late. The penalty waiver is in light of the economic hit local residents are taking during the COVID-19 crisis.
