Simitian to Hold Sidewalk Office Hours at Local Farmers Markets

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN JOSE –  Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian will hold “sidewalk office hours” in Los Altos on September 19th. Simitian invites community members to stop by with their questions and concerns about community issues.

Simitian will host additional outreach events throughout the year.

“I look forward to talking to people one-on-one,” said Simitian. “Sidewalk office hours give both the public and me a chance to interact in an informal, friendly atmosphere. It’s tremendously helpful to hear first-hand what folks have on their minds.”

Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets. All questions are welcome, and no appointment is required.

“The farmers’ markets are a wonderful venue for sidewalk office hours,” Simitian said.  “The setting is relaxed, it’s easy to find, and a lot of folks stop by to talk on the spur of the moment. In these challenging times, it’s more important than ever for elected officials to stay in touch.”

Simitian will host his sidewalk office hours at the following:

Thursday, September 19th
4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Los Altos Farmers’ Market
State Street between 2nd and 4th

These sidewalk office hours will be followed by others in October in Mountain View and Sunnyvale.
